Odisha Congress to bring back leaders who left its fold
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) is going to bring back the leaders who had deserted the party due to various circumstances. OPCC chief Niranjan Patnaik has initiated the drive by meeting the leaders in every district, informed working president of OPCC Pradeep Majhi Wednesday.
The process to bring back the leaders into the party has been escalated with a view to strengthen the Congress. There are at least two such leaders present in every district with whom the party is discussing. The induction ceremony of the leaders will be organised once they agree to return to the party fold, he said.
“We are waiting for the leaders who have abandoned the party for any reason, let them return and together we will build Congress. There are one or two such leaders in every district and we have started contacting each of them. The OPCC chief is personally going to meet the leaders,” said Majhi.
