Odisha CM Mohan Majhi celebrates Holi at his residence; leaders and officials extend greetings

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday celebrated Holi, the festival of colours at his official residence, where several prominent dignitaries and senior officials gathered to convey their festive greetings. 

The occasion brought together distinguished personalities from the state’s legislative and administrative circles, who met the Chief Minister and exchanged warm wishes as part of the colourful celebrations.

Among those who visited the Chief Minister were Odisha Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy, Director General of Police (DGP) Y.B. Khurania, Twin City Police Commissioner S. Dev Dutta Singh, and Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena. 

They were joined by several other administrative officials who called on the Chief Minister and extended their Holi greetings. The interactions reflected the festive spirit of the day, with leaders and officials sharing moments of warmth and goodwill during the celebration.

Holi Celebrated Across Odisha

Meanwhile, earlier in the morning, the festival of colours was celebrated with great enthusiasm across Odisha. From villages to cities, people immersed themselves in day-long festivities, marking one of the most vibrant festivals of the year.

Preparations began early as children, elderly people and women stepped out with colours and abir to celebrate the occasion. Streets and neighbourhoods came alive with laughter, colour and festive cheer as people greeted one another and joined the celebrations.

Leaders, politicians and members of the public alike participated in the festivities, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.

A Festival of Unity and Joy

Irrespective of caste, religion or creed, people took part in the traditional playing of colours, exchanged greetings and celebrated with dance and music, reflecting the true spirit of togetherness that defines the festival of Holi across the state.
