As part of his district visit, the Chief Minister held an exclusive grievance hearing where people from remote and far-flung areas gathered to place their problems directly before him. A large number of citizens were seen waiting to submit petitions and seek redressal of issues related to governance and public services.

Though the Chief Minister was reportedly suffering from fever since the previous day, the programme was not cancelled. Majhi interacted with the complainants, listened to their grievances and assured them of appropriate action. Officials present at the venue facilitated the registration of grievances and forwarded the petitions to the concerned departments for necessary follow-up.

Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister said addressing public grievances remains one of his primary responsibilities, particularly as he also represents the area as the local MLA. He said many people from remote regions find it difficult to travel to Bhubaneswar to raise their issues, making district-level grievance redressal programmes crucial.

Majhi further emphasised the need for people-centric and responsive governance, especially to ensure better access to government services for citizens living in remote areas.
