Bhubaneswar: The Matric supplementary exam being conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha every year will be held from July 8 till July 14 this time, informed Board Secretary Ramashish Hajra on Thursday.

Speaking on the development and timing of exam, Hajra stated that the supplementary exams will be conducted between 9 AM to 11:30 AM on the scheduled dates.

Thought the supplementary exams will end on July 14, Hajra informed that Paper II of the State Open School Exams will continue till July 16, 2019.

The preparation for the matric supplementary examination is on in full swing. The application process for the same began on June 4 and the last date of filling applications is June 18. The last date of fee deposit for the exams is June 17, informed BSE sources.

Around 5.61 lakh students had appeared for the annual Matric exam which was held from February 22 till March 8, 2019, out of which 3, 97,125 students passed the test. Of the students who passed the examination, 1,91,655 were male and 2,05,470 female.

A total of 1,181 students were awarded grade-A1, 9,938 students got Grade A2, B1-24, 991 and 46,319 students were graded under B2 category. Similarly, 76139 students were graded under C category, Grade D-1,16,262, Grade E-1,22,062 and Grade F-1,63,954 students, reports claimed.
