Bhubaneswar: The state unit of BJP will stage a two-day jail bharo agitation from today demanding action against a ruling party leader who allegedly talked to 'Sethibabu' as heard in an audio CD telecast by OTV channel.

State BJP spokesperson Samir Mohanty said, "We will stick to our programme for a 'Jail Bharo Andalon' in Odisha. We want the government to do an independent inquiry preferably by a central agency into the audio CD released by a news channel and news reports published by some newspapers."

In view of the disaster in Uttarakhand that left a trail of death and devastation in the hill state, BJP has postponed its proposed nationwide ‘Jail Bharo Andolan’ which was supposed to start from June 23 in protest against Coalgate scam allegedly committed by the UPA government, Mohanty added.

Commenting on the BJP's plan for the agitation BJD general secretary Arun Sahu said, "It's nothing but just an attempt by the BJP to save its face."

Notably, OTV on Friday had telecast the audio CD containing conversations purportedly between the head of a fraudulent financial company entangled in the multi-crore chit fund scam with two unidentified persons, one of them suspected to be a politician.
