Odisha may soon witness long-awaited appointments to various boards and corporations, as State BJP President Manmohan Samal indicated that the process is in its final stage. Speaking to the media, Samal said that discussions and internal deliberations are actively underway, and a formal announcement is expected in the New Year.
According to Samal, the party is currently engaged in structured consultations involving senior leaders, organisational functionaries, and stakeholders. While he refrained from giving a specific date, he assured that the appointments would be made 'very soon' once the ongoing discussions conclude.
“Everything will be done at the right time, as I have said earlier, too. Discussions, processes, and internal meetings are underway, and the appointments will be finalised shortly,” Samal stated.

He emphasised that the BJP is following a systematic and thoughtful approach to ensure that competent individuals are selected for their respective roles.
“I cannot reveal the deadline, but all I can say is that it will be done as soon as the discussion is complete,” he added.
The anticipated appointments have drawn significant attention within political circles, especially as several key positions in state-run boards and corporations have remained vacant after the change in government. Many party workers and aspirants have been eagerly awaiting clarity on the matter.
Samal’s assurance has now sparked expectations that the state government may make its announcement early in 2025, marking the first major organisational restructuring under the BJP’s current leadership in Odisha.
