Odisha BJP names Morcha presidents, district prabharis; Aishwarya Biswal to lead Mahila wing, Avilash Panda BJYM president

The Odisha unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released a fresh list of Morcha presidents and 37 organisational district prabharis (in-charge), marking a significant internal restructuring.

The announcement was made by BJP State President Manmohan Samal, confirming changes across youth, women, farmer, tribal, Scheduled Caste, OBC and minority wings.

New Morcha Leaders Announced

According to the communication issued from the state office, Avilash Panda has been appointed as president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), while Dr Aishwarya Biswal has taken charge of the Mahila Morcha.

Subhranshu Mohan Padhy will lead the Krushak Morcha. Kandera Soren has been named for the ST wing, and Baidhar Mallick for the SC Morcha. Pradyumna Nayak has been selected for the OBC Morcha, and Gurinder Singh for the minority wing.

List Of District Prabharis Released

The organisational reshuffle extends to district responsibilities, with 37 prabharis/in-charges designated for different organisational units across the state.

The BJP has assigned an individual in charge for districts including Angul, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Keonjhar, Khurdha, Rourkela, Rayagada and others. The list covers coastal, western and southern belts and includes representatives for Mayurbhanj (East), Mayurbhanj (West), Ghumusar and Koraput regions.

Recent Political Movements

The announcement coincides with a period of organisational churn in Odisha politics. On Saturday, prominent family members of veteran BJD leader Prafulla Samal and several elected grassroots representatives shifted allegiance to the BJP during an induction event in Bhubaneswar.

The move included block chairpersons, Sarpanches and ward representatives from Bhadrak. The naming of Morcha presidents and district prabharis places comes amid this time when the party is expanding its foothold across Odisha.
