Bhubaneswar: With the winter session of the Odisha Assembly all set to begin from tomorrow, Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro today informed that the process to make the House paperless has already begun and MLAs can now send requisition for questions and answers through a mobile app.

"It is just the beginning; we are planning for National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) project and will also have wi-fi facility in the Assembly soon," said Patro.

Besides, there are several other things in the pipeline to make the House paperless and we are moving ahead, he added.

Meanwhile, with the Assembly beginning from tomorrow , BJP and Congress are likely to corner the ruling-BJD over several issues including the death of lady PEO Smitarani Biswal, harassment of woman employee by Kendrapara credit cooperative society president and alleged PMAY irregularities.

There will be a total of 30 working days during the winter session out of which 21 days have been earmarked for official business. On the first day of the session, supplementary budget for the financial year 2019 -2020 will be tabled.
