Bhubaneswar: Odia chess player Sunyashakta Satpathy has threatened to move the High Court against the All India Chess Federation(AICF) and its secretary Bhagat Singh for allegedly ousting her from the seventh round of the Asian School Championship without prior information. The federation has also banned her from taking part in any of the tournament conducted by the federation.

Sunyashakta was banned for allegedly hiding her actual age and datre of birth. Sunyashakta and her parents said that they would petition the chief minister and the sports minister against the injustice. In the Asian School Chess Championship the Odia girl was leading the table at 5.5 points at the end of the sixth round and there was every possibility if her emerging as the champion.
