Bhubaneswar:The anti-corruption vigilance today arrested an Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officer after he was caught red handed while accepting bribe of Rs 15,000 from a beneficiary.

OAS officer Suraraj Sadashya, posted as the Tahasildar, Sukuruli, Dist-Mayurbhanj, allegedly demanded an illegal gratification Rs 15,000 from one S K Mirazul of Tato, village under Karanjia police station area in Mayurbhanj district, for release of his metal-laden truck, which was interpected by the Tahasildar since September 27, official sources said here.
 In course of investigation a trap was laid today by the Vigilance officers of Balasore Division.

"Sadashya was caught red handed by the Vigilance Officers after accepting bribe Rs 15,000. The bribe amount was recovered from his possession and seized in presence of witnesses. His hand wash gave positive chemical reaction confirming acceptance of currency," the sources said.
