Now, China keen to invest in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Encouraged by the enormous business opportunities in the state, China on Tuesday showed keen interest in exploring investment prospects in Odisha.

Representatives from Chinese Consulate in India held discussions with Industries Minister Raghunath Mohanty and secretaries of Industries and Mining dept today.

Odisha proposed to explore potential in agriculture and food processing sector which remain untapped.

China is interested to invest in various sectors and set up industries in the state, Industries Minister Raghunath Mohanty informed.

Earlier, the delegation met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik yesterday and discussed the FDI and industrialization opportunities in the state. 

It may be recalled that a Taiwanese delegation had visited the state almost a week ago and had shown interest to invest in electronics goods manufacturing, food processing and textiles sectors.
