Bhubaneswar: Renowned Odia writer Dr Pradeep Dash will receive the prestigious ‘Sarala Puraskar” instituted by Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMPaCT), the charitable wing of IMFA Ltd which is the leading and the only fully integrated producer of ferro alloys in India
.
As per the announcement of the Sarala Puraskar Committee on Friday, Dash will receive the 40th edition of Sarala Puraskar for his poetry work 'Charu Chibar O Charjya'. Dash will receive a cash award of Rs 5lakh along with a citation.

Apart from Dash, Pandit Harmohan Khuntia and Lalat Mohan Patnaik will be awarded with the prestigious 'Ila Panda Sangeet Samman' and 'Ila Panda Chitrakala Samman' for their contribution in the field of music and art, respectively. They will receive a cash award of Rs. 1.50 lakh each along with citations.

The personalities will receive the awards at a special function to be held on October 26, 2019.

The annual Sarala Award was instituted in 1979 by IMPaCT and is recognised as the foremost literary award of the State.
