No written communiqué on my expulsion: Dama Rout
Bhubaneswar: Former minister and senior leader Dama Rout today denied receiving any written letter or show-cause notice regarding his dismissal from BJD. The leader also said that being a member of the working committee, a state executive meeting of the party should be convened to expel me.
Speaking to media persons, the senior leader said, “No action is taken without issuing show-cause notice to party members. If the party has really dismissed me, I am yet to receive any letter in that regard.”
“I have received no show cause notice so far. The party’s president has also not sought clarifications from me. How was I then dismissed from the party,” he questioned.
Dama claimed that he still thinks he is a member of the party.
Dama was dismissed after BJD’s Jagatsinghpur district President, Bishnu Das, MLA Prashant Kumar Muduli and other party workers raised allegations of anti-party activities against Dama and demanded action against him. Thereafter, Dama was removed from the party on September 12.
