No rollback in DAV school fee hike
Cuttack: Clarifying their stand, the DAV school authorities today refused to roll back the school fee hike. The authorities have submitted affidavit in the Supreme Court in this regard.
“An affidavit mentioning the necessities of fee hike has been produced in the Supreme Court and accordingly the school fee has been increased”, DAV Regional Director Himansu Mohanty said.
On the other hand, a meeting chaired by Cuttack collector was held between DAV authorities and guardian association at Cuttack collectorate to clear the logjam that affects the academic carrier of hundreds of students.
However, the meeting failed to yield any fruitful result following which the guardians today resumed demonstration in front of the CDA DAV School in Cuttack.
The parents of the DAV students on December 12 locked the schools in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar protesting the authorities’ decision to raise tuition fee. They dubbed such decision as 'unethical' and 'illegal'. Irate guardians also ransacked the office of the school at CDA. Studies hampered as the classes remained suspended for the agitation.
