Bhubaneswar: Firmly ruling out any tie-up of BJD with Congress or BJP for the next general elections, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today said his party had already made it clear that it would have no link with them.

"There is no question of forging alliance with BJP or Congress for the next elections," Patnaik told newsmen reacting to reported statement by a senior Congress leader at Jaipur conclave that their party is open for any tie-up with parties like JD-U and BJD.

Patnaik, who is also the BJD President, said he had made it clear several times that the regional party would never have electoral alliance with BJP or Congress.

The ruling BJD, which shared power in Odisha from 2000 to 2009, had snapped ties with the saffron party on the eve of the 2009 elections.
