New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary BK Hariprasad, who on Sunday was handed over the baton as the in-charge of Odisha replacing Jagdish Tytler said that there may be differences of opinion in the State unit of the party but no internal conflict among workers.

Hariprasad, a Rajya Sabha member from Karnataka in an exclusive interview to OTV asserted that in the days to come he would strengthen party's State unit  by taking into confidence all the leaders and party workers.

Being asked if it was sending a wrong message among the voters when pre-poll changes in top posts like State in-charge and Pradesh Congress chief are made, he said, “Jayadev Jena is not new to the post as he was also PCC chief sometime back. We'll definitely take the feedback of party leaders and do accordingly whatever needed for the party before the elections.”

“We’ll also start the district tour programme besides seeking suggestions from senior party leaders and before contemplating any changes in the party,” added he.

The 59-year old parlimentarian promptly said that there were a lot of issues against the ruling BJD, when asked about his strategy ahead of the 2014 polls.
