Cuttack: There has been no improvement in the condition of the Pipili rape victim who has been put on ventilator said the SCB Medical College and Hospital authorities today in the status report submitted to the High Court. The victim was kept on ventilator after she was affected by pneumonia and septicemia, the report said. She also has respiratory problems, the authoritirtes reported.

On the other hand, the state Crime Branch in another status report submitted in the court said that it has already submitted two chargesheets in this connection. The Crime Branch said that it has submitted chargesheets against the main accused Prashant Pradhana and his brother Sukant Pradhan. The status reprt claimed that during investigations it was found that the two other accused Guna Chandra Swain and Premananda Nayak were in no way linked with the incident which tok place on November 29. However, the duo were found to have threatened the victim not to give witness in the rape case of her classmate and chargesheet has been submitted against the two under clause of the SC/ST Act. Most importantly, in neither of the two status reports the Crime Branch has not mentioned anything about the alleged rape case.
