The Commissioner informed that special teams will be deployed at vulnerable and high-footfall locations, including major roads, party zones, hotels, and entertainment hubs. The Commissionerate Police have intensified checks against drunken driving, warning that strict action will be taken against violators.

“Consumption of liquor is permissible up to a certain limit and only at certain places, which has already been informed to the public,” Singh said. “Drunken driving is illegal, and we have already begun enforcing checks in this regard.”
