New OPCC chief returns from Delhi
Talking to the newsmen, Jena said that Congress High Command has retained trust on him. His first and foremost duty is to fulfill the responsibility given by the party president, he said.
He would work with all party members and leaders from grassroots level to strengthen the organizations and would bring victory for the party in the ensuing general election-2014, Jena, who is scheduled to address the party meeting at Congress Bhawan on May 19, said.
The new State Congress chief will appraise the party agenda to the members in the meeting, sources said.
Notably, a day after he was made the PCC chief of the State, Jena flied to New Delhi on May 14 to thank the party high command. The senior leader had also held the top post earlier for about four years, sources added.
