Bhubaneswar: In the wake of High Court directive, the state government would issue new guidelines for the cable television operators across the state.
A decision was taken in this regard in a high-level meeting here on Thursday chaired by chief secretary B K Patnaik.
The state government would issue new guidelines for the cable television operators within a week, B K Patnaik told reporters after the meeting.
The High Court had issued directive to state government in July 2010 after cable television operators association challenged the state government’s notification in which it allowed a maximum of three cables per electric pole.
The state government, in April 2009, had issued notification.
