Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was warmly received at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar on Friday, after the NDA registered a major victory in the recently concluded Bihar Assembly elections. Pradhan, who is on a two-day visit to Odisha, was greeted by a large crowd of BJP workers and supporters who gathered at the airport to welcome him.
He had served as the BJP’s election in-charge for Bihar during the recently concluded polls. Following the NDA’s win, Nitish Kumar took oath as Chief Minister on Thursday, along with two Deputy Chief Ministers and 26 ministers.
Speaking on the occasion, Pradhan said, “After governing Bihar for 20 continuous years, the NDA has once again received the opportunity to serve the people of the state. This is one of the biggest endorsements of Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.”
Targeting the Congress, Pradhan added, “People have rejected the party because of its divisive policies. In our state, Odisha, BJP’s Jay Dholakia secured a thumping victory in the recently concluded bypoll. I congratulate Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, Party President Manmohan Samal, and all party workers for the win.”
