Bhubaneswar: Expressing concern over the brutal attack on an Odia lady social activist in Noida over a minor girl’s marriage, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday directed the resident commissioner to Odisha in Delhi to give special attention on the treatment of the injured lady who is under medical supervision at a Delhi based private hospital. The CM also asked the commissioner to co-ordinate with the Delhi government for actions on the culprits.

The 29-year-old brave woman identified as Linkon Subudhi was attacked brutally when she protested a minor girl’s marriage in Noida. Police said a 16-year-old girl was forced by her family to marry a youth against her will near the house of Linkon.

On being informed, the lady activist, who works as a project coordinator in a Delhi based voluntary organization, reached the wedding venue and tried to stop the minor girl’s marriage.
