Naveen Patnaik kept under house arrest, not allowed to meet anyone: MP Debashish Samantaray makes shocking claims

In an explosive statement to OTV, Rajya Sabha MP Debashish Samantaray on Tuesday alleged that BJD supremo and former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is currently kept under house arrest and crucial information are being deliberately withheld from him. 

Samantaray further claimed that Naveen is also not being allowed to watch Odia news channels or read Odia newspapers. As a result, the former Chief Minister has no access to reports or criticisms written against the BJD, he alleged.

He added that during the 2024 General Elections, Naveen was not properly taken around for campaigning and even the photograph of Biju Patnaik was missing from party materials. Instead, the photos of VK Pandian and Bobby Das (Pranab Prakash Das) were prominently used, which he termed as an unfortunate situation for the party.

"Naveen babu is being kept under house arrest. Naveen Patnaik doesn't read Odia newspapers. So, Naveen babu has no access to reports or criticisms written against the BJD. He is not allowed to watch Odia news. A personal staff named Saroj is near Naveen Patnaik who reads newspapers and inform about it to Naveen Patnaik. Crucial information is withheld from him. If the leader will not be properly informed about the reports published in Odia newspapers and channels, how will be able to know? By preparing this kind of strategy, Naveen was kept away from the public. He was not taken around for campaigning in the last election. Even the photograph of Biju Patnaik was missing from party materials. Pictures of Vairab and Bobby Das were used," said Debashish Samantaray.

Meanwhile, the BJD has not yet responded to Samantaray's serious allegations.
