Naveen Patnaik gets jittery about Baijayant Panda again

Kendrapara: BJD supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik seems to be getting jittery about Baijayant Jay Panda more often than not. Today Naveen targeted and accused the BJP’s Kendrapara Lok Sabha candidate of neglecting and betraying the people of the coastal district of Kendrapara.

 While addressing a public gathering during a poll meeting at Salepur, Naveen stated that he gave an educated personality like Panda, the opportunity to work for the welfare of people by contesting from Kendrapara LS. The people also trusted Panda, but he broke everybody's trust including mine.

"Instead of working for people, Baijayant Panda worked for his own self interests," said Naveen.

However, the Panda, who is a two-time LS member from the Kendrapara constituency had earlier rubbished such allegations as baseless.

“BJD has turned into a party of goons, drunkards & only corrupt can level such unsubstantiated allegations. A decade back, Kendrapara neither did have any railway connectivity nor any highway linkages to Dhamra port. During my tenure these projects were carried out and are now in final stages of completion,” Panda had said.

Besides, 57 mega drinking projects and mini stadiums were built in Kendrapara during my tenure, Panda had added.
