Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik urged senior bureaucrats of the State to formulate best policies for ensuring good governance. Addressing senior IAS officials at the State Secretariat here on Saturday, the Chief Minister said asked the officials to follow the 5T mantra.

"The Five Ts - Technology, Teamwork, Transparency and Time leading to Transformation – must be implemented in letter and spirit wherever there is citizen interface," said Patnaik.

As per reports, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) will directly monitor the implementation of the 5Ts.

Patnaik further asserted that Odisha government will focus on creating employment opportunities for the people. “This term, I want to focus on employment and value addition on a big scale comparable to the best in the world like Australia, South Korea and Singapore," he said.

The CM also advised the officials to look at the services provided by the State government from the citizen’s point of view.

“I write your performance appraisal reports. People write my performance appraisal report. I want a link between these two. Both of us have to be accountable. I sincerely mean it,” Patnaik further stated.

This is the first time the CM has addressed the senior IAS officials after being elected for the fifth consecutive time.
