Bhubaneswar: Transportation of goods and other essential commodities is likely to get disrupted due to the nationwide strike called by the Transport Workers’ Federation tomorrow.

All Odisha Transport Workers' Federation had earlier extended their support to the 24-hour nationwide transport strike. Several other trade unions have also decided to participate in the strike tomorrow to press for withdrawal of decision to amend the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

Apart from transportation of essential commodities, the public transport system is also likely to be crippled as the Nikhila Odisha Taxi and Auto Rickshaw Association has also pledged their support to the nationwide strike.

However, Odisha private bus owners association is yet to make any announcement whether it would join or abstain from participating in the nationwide strike.
