Nari Shakti Sangathan intensifies anti-liquor protests in Khurda

Khurda: Hundreds of women under the aegis of Nari Shakti Sangathan today launched demonstration demanding immediate relocation of a liquor shop at Kaduari Chhak near Jatni.

The members of the outfit launched an indefinite agitation in front of Khurda Collectorate alleging that the liquor shop is triggering law and order situation in the area.

“We are demanding relocation of the liquor shop. Till its relocation, the authorities should also ensure that it is not allowed to open in the area,” said Secretary of Nari Shakti Sangathan, Namita Pal.

Meanwhile, the district administration could not be reached for comments on the demands of the protestors.
