NALCO to invest Rs 100 crore in Koraput
Koraput: National Aluminium Company Ltd (NALCO) will invest Rs 100 crore towards welfare under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities in Koraput district. The announcement was made by company CMD Tapan Kumar Chand during his visit to the mineral refinery project at Damanjodi in the district today.
“I met the unions and the associations for peripheral development scheme and would like to announce that NALCO will invest Rs 100 crore in Koraput for welfare and CSR activities,” Chand informed.
According to sources, the amount will be invested in healthcare, education, infrastructure development and women empowerment.
Elaborating about the company’s operations, Chand said “NALCO will get the new Industry 4.0 technological upgrade which will not only enhance capacity but also keep costs down.”
Announcing the company’s financial achievements, Chand said “The company’s turnover is set to touch Rs 18,000 crore by FY 2021-22.”
