Mutilated body of a man was found under the Jamurda overbridge in Bargarh district of Odisha on Tuesday morning. The deceased has been identified as Bhima Bishal, a resident of Jamurda village.

According to initial observations, there were deep injury marks on several parts of Bishal’s body. It is suspected that he was beaten to death by some assailants. 

The discovery of the dead body under the overbridge has raised questions about the cause and circumstances of his death. Police personnel reached the spot soon after receiving information and have launched an investigation into the case.

Family Alleges Murder, Seeks Justice

Family members have alleged that Bhima Bishal was murdered. The deceased's father alleged that he might have been killed and demanded justice.

Speaking to the media, the deceased’s father said, “We searched for him everywhere but could not find him. I do not know what has exactly happened, but we believe he was murdered. We want justice and hope that those responsible are punished soon.”

Police are verifying all possible angles, including personal and local disputes, to determine the motive behind the suspected murder. The body will be sent for post-mortem examination, and further investigation is ongoing to identify those involved in the incident.
