New Delhi: Muktikanta Biswal from Odisha’s Rourkela who is on a mission to meet Prime Minister Modi and has been on a hunger strike near Jantar Mantar was picked up by police on Sunday.

The cops took Biswal into custody for staging the hunger strike without prior permission, informed sources.
Biswal who had covered a distance of 1,350 km on foot to reach Delhi had stated that he would sit on dharna if he failed to meet the Prime Minister.

The 30 year old had started his walk from the Ispat General Hospital (IGH) campus of the steel city on April 16 to remind the PM about the promise he made on April 1, 2015 about upgrading the Ispat General hospital while addressing a crowd in Rourkela.
