Born on November 25, 1990, in a musically gifted family, Sagar rose to fame after winning 'Voice of Odisha' Season 2 in 2012.

Over his career, he lent his voice to more than 150 film songs, including hits like 'Ishq Tu Hi Tu' and nearly 200 album tracks, becoming a defining voice of modern Odia music.

In recent days, Sagar’s health had sharply declined. He was rushed to AIIMS Bhubaneswar with liver complications, and despite being placed on a ventilator as multiple organs began to fail, there was no improvement.

His wife publicly shared the pain of watching his health deteriorate without any signs of recovery.

The news of his death has shaken Titilagarh to its core. Locals described him not just as a singer, but as a hometown hero whose humble roots and soaring dreams inspired many.

His sudden departure has left a void that reverberates beyond the music fraternity.

Across Odisha, grief has poured in. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi called his death an “irreparable loss” to the state’s cultural heritage.

Even as fans and fellow artists mourn, Sagar’s melodies, imbued with emotion, longing, and joy, continue to live on, echoing in hearts that can’t quite accept that his voice has been silenced.
