Puri: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration today decided to deploy more number of ‘Pratihari’ servitors and police personnel inside the 'Jagamohan' of Puri  Srimandir for smooth regulation of crowd.

According to sources, the number of devotees visiting the temple increases considerably in the holy month of Kartika and keeping the same in mind, the administration has taken such a step.

Additional Pratihari servitors and police will be deployed near the 'Nata Mandap' to regulate the crowd, the SJTA Chief administrator informed.

“As the movement of devotees inside the temple is not smooth, more number of Pratihari servitors and additional police personnel will be deployed to ease movement,” SJTA Chief Administrator, Pradipta Mohapatra added.

Mohapatra has asked the Puri SP to take necessary steps for crowd management near the 'Nata Mandap.'

Meanwhile, Puri Shankaracharya, Swami Nischalananda Saraswati, while commenting on the violence that erupted during the observance of Bandh in Puri over implementation of queue system for darshan, said “I think there are no issues which couldn’t be solved by the mutual understanding and discussions.”
