Bhubaneswar: In what could come as good news for domestic flyers, AirAsia is going to expand its services from Bhubaneswar and offer new flights to New Delhi, Hyderabad and Bengaluru from October 29.

A meeting regarding the same was held today between Odisha Tourism Minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi and AirAsia officials.

"AirAsia will begin its flight services from Bhubaneswar to Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad from October 29. We are in talks with several other airlines to begin international flight services," said Panigrahi.

Speaking on the speculations about cancellation of flight services between Bhubaneswar and Bangkok, the Tourism Minister informed that discussions are underway with the airlines. He also said that plans are being laid out to introduce more number of flights from Jharsuguda airport.
