Bhubaneswar: A four member expert team of Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) led by K Roy Paul visited the proposed Posco site near Paradip on Tuesday. Later the team visited Dhinkia, Govindpur, Gadkujang, Polang and Noliasahi villages and assessed the impact of forest diversion and cutting of large number of tress for the establishment of the project on the coastal areas and the environment.

The team was constituted in line with National Green Tribunal’s order that had cancelled the environmental clearance of the project in March this year. It also wanted an expert team to visit the proposed site and submit report.

K Roy Paul during his visit was accompanied by R Ramesh, R D Singh and S R Wate.
