Bhubaneswar: An angry mob set a police station afire in Begunia of Khurda district on Sunday evening after locals found the dead body of a youth who was picked up by police in connection with a family dispute.

Sources said the victim, Hemant Nayak from Bhimapur, was found hanging from a tree at Badaberana on Sunday morning.

Upon hearing about his death, angry local residents torched the police station alleging that the cops killed Hemant.

Police were unavailable for comment.
