Bhubaneswar: A youth from Bhubaneswar forcibly taken away in a vehicle by a group of men on Tuesday night was today found in a critical condition in Puri.

The Pipli police found him lying in a pool of blood behind Dena Bank at Siula Chhak and rushed him to the Pipili hospital and later shifted to Capital hospital in Bhubaneswar after his condition deteriorated. He has received fatal injuries on his back and is stated to be critical, sources said.

As per reports, the youth identified as Nrusingha Swain along with his friend Papu Swain had gone to a hotel in Patrapada for dinner last night.

While the duo was  waiting for the dinner to get served, Nrusingha picked up an altercation with a group of four non-Odia youths in the hotel.

The group of youths then forcibly dragged Nrusingha into their car and  drove off. Soon after Papu lodged an FIR at the Tomando police station following which the cops launched a search operation to trace Nrusingha .

It was only today morning that the Pipili police found him in an unconscious state. Nrusingha is a resident of Unit- VIII area and works as a Sales Manager at Narayan Motors in Rasulgarh area.
