Miscreants chop off youth’s hands

Bolangir: In a macabre act that would put Sholey’s Gabbar to shame, a group of miscreants chopped off both hands of a youth at Raghabpalli village in the district today over past enmity.

According to sources, the incident took place this morning when a group of 15-20 youths attacked Khirod Mishra and chopped both of his hands. The assailants flee after committing the ghastly act.

A profusely bleeding Khirod was first rushed to Burla hospital and later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack when his condition deteriorated.

Police are investigating into the matter and have launched a massive manhunt to nab the culprits.
