Miscreants break open ATM, loot cash in Balasore

Balasore: Some unidentified miscreants broke open a Tata Indicash Automated Teller Machine (ATM) and looted cash in Talapada Bazaar under Soro police limits in Balasore last night.

According to reports, the matter came to light after some locals found the ATM wide open and a glass cutter lying next to it in the morning.

Subsequently, they informed the police about the incident. After getting information, Gopalpur police rushed to the spot and launched an investigation into the case.

While the exact amount of looted cash is yet to be ascertained, a probe has begun in the incident and the CCTV footages of the ATM are being examined.

In December last year, miscreants had looted an unspecified amount of money from an ATM at Tala Bazaar Market Complex in Santaragadia area of Balasore after breaking it open with the help of a gas-cutter late.
