Minor girl gang raped in Rourkela; 3 arrested

Rourkela: Police have arrested three persons for allegedly raping a minor girl in Rourkela. All the accused were arrested by Brahmani Tarang police based on the statement of the survivor who was rescued today near a school in a critical condition.

While the survivor has been admitted to Ispat General Hospital, sources said that she had gone missing for the past two days. Further details awaited.

Earlier on October 6, a minor girl was allegedly gang raped after being kidnapped by two youths under Binjharpur police limits in Jajpur while she had gone out to attend tuition classes.

Subsequently, police rescued the survivor from a nearby village and arrested one of the accused based on the girl’s statement.
