Minor Girl Gang Raped In Forest, 3 Detained

Sundergarh: A minor girl was allegedly gang-raped by three youths including a juvenile inside a forest under Lahunipara Police limits in the district on Saturday night.

According to reports, one of the accused lured the survivor to go with him to the market on his motorcycle. But later he took her to an isolated place in the forest where she was allegedly gang-raped.

After the incident, the minor girl narrated the ordeal she went through to her family following which they filed an FIR at the Tensa Police outpost.

Based on the complaint, Tensa Police initiated an investigation into the matter and detained all the accused including a minor for interrogation.

"All the accused are of Tensa area. They have been taken for medical examination after which they will be arrested and court forwarded,” said Bonai SDPO Abkash Routray.
