Bhubaneswar: A 10-year-old minor girl was allegedly abducted today from Bhubaneswar Railway Station by a man impersonating as truck driver.

As per the complaint report filed by the grandmother of the girl, the accused abducted the girl after striking a conversation with her when the duo were at the station and were planning to go to Parlakhemundi.

The accused had also assured the duo to drop them at Parlakhemundi.

"She had gone to buy food along with the accused and when she didn't return for a very long time I started suspecting," grandmother of the girl said.

Subsequently, the grandmother of the girl lodged a complaint with the police.

"The man had covered his face with a piece of cloth and looked suspicious. When I inquired about his identity he claimed that he is a truck driver. Proper investigation should be done as there could be a bigger racket involved in the case," said Kulamani Mohanty, a man who helped the lady.

A police investigation is currently underway to nab the accused.
