Minor Boy Trapped In Water Tank Rescued After 48 Hours In Odisha
Rourkela: In a miraculous escape, a minor boy stuck inside a water tank for nearly 48 hours without food and water was rescued with the help of railway staff and locals in Bondamunda Sector-B area in Rourkela on Wednesday.
According to sources, the boy from Dumerta area under Bondamunda police limits had gone missing two days back and after frantically searching for him for a whole day his family members had lodged a police complaint in connection with the incident.
Yesterday, some locals heard someone crying for help near the water tank and after a thorough search, they found the boy trapped inside the tank. Local residents with the help of local railway staff immediately rescued the boy from the water tank.
Sources said the little boy had got trapped after entering the water tank for catching a pigeon. Although he had gone down a ladder inside the tank to catch the bird, the ladder accidentally broke down and he got stuck inside it.
However, since there was less amount of water inside the tank, the boy narrowly escaped mishap.
