Kendrapara: Mahanga MLA and Health minister Pratap Jena today evaded questions on charges of corruption levelled by former MLA of the constituency, Bikram Kesari Barma yesterday. Barma had yesterday alleged that contractors are not doing work without percentage commission (PC in colloquial terms) in Mahanga block and Jena is involved in such corrupt practices.

When questioned by news reporters today about the charges brought by Barma, minister Jena evaded the questions and stayed mum on the issue.

Earlier yesterday, Bikram Kesari Barma had said “Nowadays the contractors are not doing their work without percentage commission. During my term, no one took any commission. The MLA himself takes commission for government contracts.”
