Met predicts thunderstorm, rainfall in several parts of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has predicted rainfall, thunderstorm activities accompanied with gusty wind and lightning in several parts of Odisha in the next 24 hours.

“Several parts of Odisha including coastal parts will experience rainfall in next 24 hours. Besides, moderate rain is likely to occur at one or two places in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Rayagada and Kandhamal districts,” informed  weather expert at the Bhubaneswar IMD, Sudarshan Mishra.

Mishra added that thunderstorm activities along with gusty wind and lightning will occur in Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur districts in the 24 hours.

The Met has also warned the fishermen of Balasore and Bhadrak district to refrain from venturing into the sea for the next couple of days.
