Meenakshi's reappointment as DCC president irks Koraput MLA

Koraput: Congress Koraput MLA Krishna Chandra Sagaria today expressed his displeasure on Meenakshi Bahinipati being reappointed as the District Congress Committee President.

Terming it "worthless," Sagaria pointed out that Meenakshi had not supported the party during elections. Tara too, after being denied a ticket by Congress had jumped to BJP, but was later re-inducted in to the party, he said.

"None of us has won elections under the leadership of Meenakshi and Tara Prasad Bahinipati. Rather own efforts and support of the Congress activists have brought us victory," said Sagaria.

Earlier on Saturday, Sagaria had alleged that Tara has been making casteist remarks against him.He also accused Tara of instigating some outfits to lodge complaint against him before OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik after the former converted to Buddhism.
