Medical PG counselling begins for 87 seats

Bhubaneswar: The Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) on Thursday is holding counselling under open category for medical PG seats in three government colleges in the state.  As many as 637 students have been asked to attend the counselling for 87 seats.

DMET authorities cancelled the previous counseling held in April 23 and July 13 in which special weightage was given to doctors serving in rural and tribal areas, following Supreme Court’s order. These doctors were getting 10-30% marks during PG counseling in addition to their entrance marks.
