Bhubaneswar: As many as 2,852 medical aspirants have been declared eligible to take part in the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) medical counselling which started here on Tuesday. According to OJEE officials, the students can do the choice filling of medical colleges and registration online sitting at home.

The authorities informed that for final choice locking and deposit of the required amount, the students have to visit the four nodal centres opened in Bhubaneswar on July 19. The centres include BJB college, CET, CIPET and IIIT.

Starting 2012-13 academic session, 150 more MBBS seats are available in the state for the medical aspirants, taking the total pool to 650. The new addition includes 100 MBBS in Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital, Rourkela and 50 seats in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar. As many as 150 BDS seats are available to be filled up.
