Massive fire guts 7 houses in Bhadrak, 9 cattle burnt alive
A devastating fire broke out in Chhatrapada village under Narendrapur panchayat of Tihidi block in Bhadrak district, reducing seven thatched houses belonging to four families to ashes. The tragic incident resulted in the death of nine cattle, which were burnt alive in the blaze, along with property worth several lakhs of rupees.
According to sources, the fire broke out late last night, though the exact cause of the incident is yet to be ascertained. The flames spread rapidly, engulfing the houses within minutes and leaving the affected families homeless.
On receiving information, the Gadi Fire Services team rushed to the spot and managed to bring the fire under control after strenuous efforts, preventing it from spreading further.
The affected families have suffered heavy losses, including household belongings, livestock and essential items. They have appealed to the administration for immediate assistance and relief, as they struggle to cope with the aftermath of the tragedy.

An inquiry is underway to determine the cause of the fire, while local authorities are assessing the extent of the damage.
