Narayanpatna: Maoists menace continued on second day of bandh call in Narayanpatna and Bandhugaon as they set ablaze a BSNL telephone exchange at Alamanda of Bandhugaon block today. The rebellion has also torched five vehicles, tipper and few other excavating machines last night at a contractor’s camp in the area.

Normal life came to a halt due to the bandh call by Maoists as all communication to the area was disrupted and roads covered by wooden logs. No communication could be established between Parvatipuram in Andhra Pradesh and Narayanpatna as ultras have dug up the roads as well.

CPI-Maoist has given a two-day bandh call for fulfillment of several demands and blocked all roads to the area.
