Bhubaneswar: A group of Maoists on Monday ransacked a police constable`s house at Gagirmitla in Malkangiri on Monday.

Around 30- 40 ultras raided the house of Sukra Madhi at Gagrimetla village and threatened his family members with dire consequence unless he leaves the village.

They decamped with all the household belongings, including electronic gadgets and food grains. They did not spare even cattle and took away the cow, bullocks and goat before razing the house to the ground, Malkangiri SP Aniruddha Singh said.

On facing protest by Madhi`s wife and others, the ultras thrashed them and fled the scene shouting slogans, he said.
